I don’t know how it came to my mind, but I was suddenly remembering this scene from City of Angels, where the angel asks the little girl who just died what did she loved best, and her answer was as simple as it gets: pyjamas.
I remember clearly the feeling I got when I first saw this scene, I was taken aback by the way kids see life, so clearly and with such tenderness, they are touched by the simplest of things, and I guess that’s what they will recall the most. I must say I was also shocked because I think I would have given the same answer. I love pyjamas. There is actually nothing better than soft, comfy, wrapping you up pj’s. My boys share the same love. And Santa does love jammies too, he brings one to every member of the family each year. We all expect to find one under the tree, the softest Santa could find…
(Gosh I can’t believe twelve years have passed since I took this photo…)
Pyjamas are at the top of my list, but I must confess that thick, soft blankets are way up there too. One can never have enough blankets…
What is the thing, that one simple thing that brings you so much comfort and happiness? There has to be one! Is it a recently found love or one you carry since childhood? I know my love affair with pyjamas has been with me all the while…

I guess I love Pajamas too I never thought about that before:) I also I’m in love with my bed! the best part of the day is when I’m showered and tucked in lol adorable captures xx
Love this post…so fun to get to know you better Isabelle. I love pillows…lots of them! I like them on all sides of me. Kind of like getting a big hug? Maybe. I just know I like them for the comfort they provide.
Isabelle,
This cozy photos and reminiscing about pajamas makes me love these Sisterhood Stories so much. I’m going to borrow your idea, and put pajamas on my Santa list this year. As silly as it may sound, I get a lot of comfort from my Tempur-Pedic mattress. Until I got that mattress, I had never slept so soundly and so comfortably, as I do now. Sleeping is important, but so are other simple comforts like a morning coffee, herbal bath soaps, and walks with my dogs. Thanks for reminding us to think about what makes us happy. And those lips on the baby are so adorable!!!
Abby
Your blog always makes me feel peaceful – and this post more so than ever!! I promised myself that tonight I would shower and get into my pjs and so feel relaxed and able to take time enjoying all the posts in this special circle. And I’m so glad I did – I’m absolutely at one with you about simple things. My pj’s smelling of tiger balm for my sore back, my glass of wine, the dogs on the sofa…. lovely!! xxx
Such gorgeous photos Isabelle! My thing is I love my bed. Just love it.
